Audience Description

Participants whose native tongue is not English that have taken a class or course to learn the language. These testers may be currently studying or have already taken tests to prove their English language proficiency, such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Many take it upon themselves to learn a new language for communication or business opportunities. Others may be multilingual and are interested in expanding their vocabulary. Regardless, most of these participants have a strong ambition for learning.

Interesting Participant Qualities

The slight majority of participants (21%) believe that Mandarin is the most difficult language to learn, followed by Arabic (18%) and Japanese (17%).
